Helmut Newton. SUMO. Revised by June Newton (EXTRA LARGE) (Multilingual Edition) Details
Review "This incredible illustration of the work of one of the most influential photographers of our time has shrunk! It's a more democratic means of distribution and an absolutely stunning book for photography fans." Read more About the Author Helmut Newton (1920–2004) was one of the most influential photographers of all time. He first achieved international fame in the 1970s while working principally for French Vogue, and became celebrated for his controversial scenarios, bold lighting, and striking compositions in street or interior settings, rather than studios. His many titles and awards included Commandeur de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Read more

Reviews
Newton’s career and body of work is showcased in stunning fashion in this monumental edition. As others have reported, the print and material quality is exceptional, especially at this reasonable price. The very first thing I noticed is the quality of the dust jacket. Unlike many books of this type, it’s jacket is supremely glossly and thick, like a sheet of glass. Makes for a beautiful and welcoming presentation for the hundreds of breathtaking pages that lay beneath. I was debating between this edition and a pre-owned copy of the massively-sized (and massively-expensive) original printing. This booked is entirely satisfying and effectively scratched my “Helmut Newton” itch at less than 2% of the cost of the larger volume.Well done, Taschen!
